How does it work?
MMO anode coating consists of an electrocatalytic conductive component to analyze reaction and produce bulk oxides and current flow. It prevents corrosion of the substrate material, and two electrocatalysts used for this application:
1. Iridium oxide (IrO2) Anode
This element is suitable for both oxygenating and chlorinating environments, and its primary purpose is to prevent corrosion and provide an oxide film to the substrate material.
2. Ruthenium Oxide (RuO2) Anode
This oxide is only applicable to seawater and is a cheap method used in chlorinated environments. Life can reduce during the evolution of oxygen.
